TWO people were killed and one critically injured after a SUV crashed over a bridge in Avoca, Durban on Sunday, 13 February.
Netcare 911 spokesman Shawn Herbst said paramedics responded to a collision at about 6.30am on the N2 near the M25 KwaMashu off-ramp.
“Reports show the driver of a SUV lost control, resulting in the vehicle crashing through the safety barriers, down an embankment about 15 metres, coming to rest on railway tracks below.”
Herbst said when paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the occupants had been thrown from the vehicle.
“On assessment, paramedics found an adult male and adult female had sustained fatal injuries and were declared dead on the scene.”
Herbst said the third injured male patient was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
