THE widow to politician and businessman Tendai Savanhu appeared in court yesterday for allegedly assaulting her stepson who was overseeing her eviction.
Tendai Mudakureva Savanhu is alleged to have assaulted Tatenda Savanhu (35) in the latest chapter in the wrangle for the deceased’s estate.
The court heard that on February 17, Tatenda went to number 1 High Saddle Close, Glen Lorne, to oversee the process in which his stepmother was being evicted.
Tatenda is a director of T and S Marketing.
The company was founded by his mother, and late father, and the High Court ruled that his stepmother wasn’t entitled to it.
He arrived at the house in Glen Lorne in the company of his uncles, Evans Chapfeka and William Mutumanje.
Tendai was allegedly holding an iron bar when she went to where they were parked.
She allegedly stabbed Tatenda on the chest, using the iron bar saying, “ndokuendesa kunge baba vako.”
Tatenda sustained minor bruises on his chest but managed to escape.
