An unidentified woman on Friday afternoon lost US$40, ZWL300 and a passport to two female con-artists, who used the old-fashioned style popularly known as ‘chadonha’ in street lingo.

She was duped while walking in Africa Unity Square in Harare’s city centre.

Well-wishers contacted her relatives who promised to pick her up.

The con-artists pretended as if they had picked some money in full view of their victim before luring her to a nearby public toilet.

According to the victim, the two ladies said they wanted to share the money equally with her.
