A CHITUNGWIZA man has been arrested for killing his wife.
Emmanuel Machokoto allegedly committed the gruesome act, in which he allegedly murdered his wife, Mercy Munosuma, last Thursday.
Machokoto (24), who appeared at the Chitungwiza Magistrate court, was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.
It is alleged Machokoto killed his wife with an unknown object in Unit J, Chitungwiza, after a domestic dispute.
The matter was reported to the police and a manhunt was launched for Machokoto.
He was arrested the following morning.
Meanwhile, two bodies were found at Hatcliffe’s Consortium Dam and in Epworth on Friday.
The two people, who died in the incidents, are yet to be identified with police appealing for information to solve both murders.
“On Friday 8 April, ZRP Borrowdale recorded a death incident, where a body of a yet to be identified female adult, was found floating at Hatcliffe Consortium Dam, Harare.
“The body was in a state of decomposition and clad in a blue skirt, blue top and a black jacket.
“In a similar case, at about 0800hrs, a body of a male adult (36) was found along the road in Epworth near the Balancing Rocks.
“The body had a deep cut on the left pelvis, bruises on the hips and a small cut on top of the left eye.
“Anyone with information to contact the nearest Police Station,” said National Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi.
