A BUDIRIRO woman, employed as a domestic worker, allegedly connived with her boyfriend to steal from her employer, a Harare court heard.
Laina Mabhauti was not asked to plead when she appeared before magistrate Yeukai Dzuda.
The court heard that on Tuesday last week, Mabhauti connived with her boyfriend, Tinashe, and other accomplices still at large, to steal from her boss.
She left the door unlocked before going to bed.
At around 1am, Tinashe and his accomplices got into the house, armed with a pistol, and iron bars.
They woke up Mabhauti’s employer pointing a pistol at his head and instructed him to lie down on his stomach, and he complied.
They tied him up and demanded money.
“He told them money was in his jacket and they took US$1 319.”
The gang ransacked the house and stole a 42-inch television set, a laptop, blankets and sneakers.
