A NORMAL Wednesday afternoon was turned upside down in the city centre with a bee attack that caught members of the public by surprise.
Corner 10th Avenue and George Silundika Street was turned into “a no-go area’ after a swarm of bees got agitated and started attacking people.
Money changers, commonly known as Osiphatheleni and people conducting business in that area temporarily abandoned their ‘stations’ when the bees went berserk.
The bees had set ‘base’ on a tree along 10th Avenue.
The Bulawayo Fire Brigade had to be called to exterminate the bees.
