“We are investigating a case of unlawful termination of pre_gnancy. The upsurge of cases of baby dumping, birth concealment, termination of pre_gnancy, and other cases involving newborns are disturbing of late. We urge women to try as much as possible to avoid unwanted pregnancies.

“However, if one finds herself in trouble as a result of pre_gnancy or child birth, they must seek assistance or advice from fellow family members, church or community leaders or the police victim friendly unit,” said Inspector Ncube.
