President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s son-in-law, Gerald Mlotshwa has been named as the chairperson of the Sports and Recreation (SRC). The previous board was dissolved by Sports Minister Kirsty Coventry, while the new board has been appointed by the acting Minister Kazembe Kazembe. Coventry is still on Maternity leave after giving birth recently.
Mlotshwa is married to Farai Mnangagwa, the daughter of President Emmerson Mnangagwa. He is a lawyer and the founding partner of the law firm Titan Law. He has interests in the financial services industry and the media sector.

Mlotshwa’s appointment comes a few days after Mnangagwa appointed Justice Loice Matanda Moyo, wife of Foreign Affairs Minister Sibusiso Busi Moyo as the new chair of the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC).
