Econet users on Saturday complained about their failure to use the Econet services from Ecocash to Data services.
Online magazine Techmag said the following service were confirmed not working
• Data/Internet services
• USSD services
• Steward Bank App
• EcoCash Data App
• Yomix
A angry Econet user Zenzele Ndebele posted on Twitter saying,” Dear @EcoCashZW .i spent the whole morning in a fuel queue, i get to the pump your ecocash platform is down. I can’t buy fuel after wasting 4hrs in a queue.”
Professor Jonathan Moyo said Zimbabwe was shutting down on its own.

“Because it’s been on autopilot, things are beginning to happen on their own in Zimbabwe with a growing risk of disaster. After self-dollarisation, Zimbabwe is now shutting down on its own. The communication sector is dying. Folks can’t use ecocash, can’t make calls or use data!”
