PICS: Cops shocked after 2 notorious brothers knocked down 5 high security doors and escaped from police cells

Two notorious brothers Tafadzwa Kanengoni (35) and Darlington Kanengoni (39) from Mucheke High Density Suburb have left Police at Masvingo Central awestruck after they knocked down five high security doors, metal screens and windows and escaped from cells at the Province’s biggest Police station.

The duo that was arrested for theft escaped from the busy Police station at around midnight on Thursday last week and this becomes the first ever jailbreak from Masvingo Police Station.

Police are baffled and there is strong suspicion that Tafadzwa and Darlington whose mother is a sangoma used juju to escape. More baffling is that they were searched before they entered the prison and it still remains a mystery as to where the two found the object they used to break the padlock.

Tafadzwa and Darlington who have criminal records left the Police baffled as they broke a huge padlock that secured a metal screen inside the cell. After dismantling the padlock, they opened a heavy metal door to the cell without breaking anything.

They then entered the dining room where prisoners have their meals and they used a small opening used for serving food and sneaked into the kitchen. They then broke a heavy metal door in the kitchen and entered a corridor that leads into the charge office where Police is on duty 24 hours a day.

Instead of going into the charge office they headed into the female toilets which are in the opposite direction. They broke iron bars on the window and used the small openings to escape and they emerged in the sanitary lane behind OK Supermarket.

The two brothers are now on the run and wanted for escaping from lawful custody.

They were arrested after stealing electric gadgets from Rujeko.Sources said the two have several other convictions and their family has several other members who are notorious for burglary.
