Attempting to pull of a heist at Chinese restaurant proved to be a fatal mistake for a gang of robbers in Harare.
Last night the gang attempted to break into the Great Wall Chinese restaurant in Harare only to be met by the barrel of a gun.
While details are still sketchy as to what occurred inside, it is reported that the restaurant owners opened fire on the robbers killing two of them on the spot while the others are still on the run.
Innocent parties also got caught in the crossfire resulting in one of them being shot. According to a source, the restaurant owners opened fire on them after they attempted to flee the scene fearing for collateral damage. The Chinese owners mistook them for the second gang of robbers and fired shots at their vehicle.
The injured bystander managed to get help at Zuva Service Station along 2nd Street Extension where he was assisted by petrol attendants.
