PROLIFIC music producer and song writer Macdonald ‘Macdee’ Chidavayenzi is officially off the market.
The Eternity Music Record label boss tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Rutendo Mukonho at a glamorous wedding held at a local hotel.
Macdee said he is excited with the new life he was starting with Rutendo.
“When I was growing up, I was told that man don’t cry and that is what I believed
All along until today when I shed tears as I saw the love of my life walking on the aisle.
“I couldn’t control my tears, I tried to hold them back but emotions got the best of me.
“I am so excited that my union with Rutendo grown from friendship to lovers and now we husband and wife.
“She has everything I have ever dreamt of in a wife from both inside and out,” he said.
Speaking at the event, Star FM radio presenter Phathisani Sibanda urged local artistes to emulate what Macdee had done.
“One of the things I would like to encourage our musicians is for them to settle down like what Macdee has done.
“It is a fact that most local celebrities find it hard to settle down in as far as marriage is concerned but Macdee’s wedding should inspire local celebrities.
“What I have witnessed today is a reflection of true love and I believe this is something that can be achieved by any artiste if you put your heart to it,” he said.
At the event, local musicians Extra Large, Wellington Kwenda, Pastor G, Tatenda Mahachi, Nyasha Mukonori, Russo and Tembalami took turns to perform and also showered praises on Macdee for his contribution to the growth of local music industry.
