SARAH Maruta, who is one of the two women at the centre of a raging sexual abuse and rape storm in which she was allegedly raped by Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries (PHD) leader Prophet Walter Magaya, has disowned the State media story, clearing the man of the cloth.
The Sunday Mail today reported that Maruta, former Studio 263 actress Charity Dlodlo as well as many other women have over the years been raped and abused by Magaya.
But in an intriguing turn of events barely 24 hours after the State media story hit the streets, Sarah Maruta has publicly dismissed the rape claims in a self-made video that she released Sunday mid morning.
She accuses Dlodlo and State media journalists of fabricating the story to “create a juicy” story against Magaya, who she says never raped her.
Last weekend, another alleged Magaya rape victim, Mrs Chenai Agatha Maenzanise-Hassan, publicly dismissed the rape claims in a self-made video that also featured her husband, Christian Hassan.
The two, who appeared happy and flippant, said the “baseless allegations” were disturbing their happy marriage. “Firstly, I would like to clear the air and state that, I was not raped!” said Mrs Maenzanise-Hassan.
