The other leaders include Angola’s President João Lourenço and Botswana’s President Mokgweetsi Masisi.

Geingob was re-elected for a second term in the country’s November elections with 56.3% of the vote.

The 78-year-old is Namibia’s third leader since the sparsely populated country freed itself from apartheid South Africa in 1990.

Earlier this year, he pledged to focus on to intensify the fight against corruption and gender-based violence in the year 2020 as he strives to improve citizens welfares.

The pledge to fight graft in the Southern African country came as six Namibian officials and businessmen suspected of involvement in a bribery and money-laundering scheme were arrested and detained in February.

The six included former Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources Bernhard Esau and former Minister of Justice Sacky Shanghala, who were accused of corruption, fraud and tax evasion.
