THE passing on of television personality Zororo Makamba has had a ripple effect after it emerged that the offices of President Emmerson Mnangagwa have been placed on 21-day quarantine as the deceased visited the building and had contact with several officials.
According to Deputy Chief Secretary in charge of Presidential Communications, George Charamba, the late Makamba also interacted with officials from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development.
Charamba said all those officials who had exposure to the deceased have since gone into self-isolation, while the President’s Offices at Munhumutapa Building were fumigated last Sunday.
Zororo died on Monday afternoon at the City of Harare owned Wilkins Hospital, as his case was aggravated by underlying heart disease conditions.
Yesterday, the Cabinet meeting took place at the State House due to the fact that the Munhumutapa Building, which also houses the offices of the two Vice Presidents was compromised following Zororo’s visit.
