Dionne Karungano from Kwekwe destroyed property at Austin Phiri’s homestead before beating up his wife whom she accused of making him dump her.
The matter came to light at the Kwekwe Civil Court where Phiri had dragged his estranged ex-lover seeking a protection order against her.
Phiri told Magistrate Vimbai Mtukwa that he was not living in peace since Karungano was in the habit of stalking and threatening to deal with him.
“She is always stalking me even at my workplace where she causes scenes. I no longer live in peace and I am praying that this court protects me from this woman,” Phiri said.
He said at one time she went to his homestead in Mbizo where she destroyed property and beat up his wife.
“She came to my house and beat up my wife saying she is the reason I broke up with her. She also destroyed some of my property. I am no longer interested but she doesn’t want to accept it,” said Phiri.
Karungano told the court that all she wanted was Phiri to take care of her since she is now seven months pre_gnant.
“I don’t care about his wife but I want to be taken care of just like any other woman,” she said.
Magistrate Mtukwa advised Karungano to accept reality on the ground as she granted the order, effective for five years, in favour of Phiri.
