A 64-year-old man from Mutanda Village under Chief Negove has appeared in court facing indecent assault charges after he licked a Grade Zero girl’s private parts before dipping his fingers inside.
Tovakara Dozimbabwe recently appeared before Zvishavane Magistrate Archie Wochiunga.
Dozimbabwe pleaded guilty in his initial appearance for contravening Section 67 (1) (a) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23.
State facts as presented by Tinashe Maponde are that on January 21 this year at around 9am, the accused approached the complainant who was playing near her homestead and asked for directions. He then asked the complainant to escort him and the complainant complied.
They reached a bushy area and the accused laid the juvenile on the ground, removed her underwear, licked and inserted his finger into her vagina and ordered her to return back home.
The matter came to light when the sister alerted the Police.
Dozimbabwe appeareared in court again on November 14. Investigations are still on.
