LULA LULA: ‘Satan made me slǝǝp with my best friend’s wife’

0

Dear Aunty Lisa,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you seeking your advice on a delicate matter I have been struggling with. I am a mɑrried man and I have a close friend who has been going through a lot in his mɑrriɑgǝ. One night, after a few drinks, I ended up slǝǝping with his wife. I feel absolutely terrible about it and I don’t know how to make things right.

The worst part is that I feel like I am not completely to blame. I feel like Satan made me do it. I have always been a religious person and I try to live my life according to God’s will. But that night, it’s like I was possessed or something and I couldn’t resist the temptation.

I know what I did was wrong, and I am afraid that my friend will find out and our friendship will be ruined. I also don’t know how to deal with the guilt and shame I am feeling.

Please, Aunty Lisa, I am counting on your sound advice on how to handle this situation.

Sincerely,

Riddled with Guilt

Dear Riddled with Guilt,

I understand how tough this must be for you. However, you can’t keep using Satan as an excuse for your actions. You made a conscious decision to slǝǝp with your friend’s wife, and you need to take responsibility for it.

You need to confess to your friend what happened and apologize to him. Prepare yourself for whatever consequences may arise from that conversation. Also, speak with your wife and seek her forgiveness as well.

In addition, seek counselling or therapy to work through the guilt and shame you are experiencing. Lastly, try to distance yourself from situations that may lead to such temptations.

Remember, forgiveness is a long journey, and it starts with taking responsibility for your actions and making amends. I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Aunty Lisa
