The Masvingo police are searching for a 47-year old man who is suspected of killing another man with an axe. Hamutyinei Harare is accused of murdering 49-year old Phillips Mushanyuri on June 3, 2023 at Zvenhidza village in Gutu.
According to police reports, Harare struck Mushanyuri on the head with an axe after the two men had an argument. Mushanyuri reportedly insulted Harare which led to the fatal attack. Mushanyuri died instantly from head injuries.
The Masvingo police are asking the public for any information that could help them find and arrest Harare. Anyone with information should report to the nearest police station.
