A man from Mbare has been accused of assaulting his own brother and damaging his property over an alleged ɑffɑir with his wife.

Olia Gotore, 25, applied for a peace order against his brother, Ezias Gotore, after he was attacked at home and work.

According to Olia, his brother was violent and had assaulted him at his workplace and home in Mbare. He also accused him of damaging his property. Olia pleaded with the court to grant him a peace order to protect himself from his violent brother.

However, in a sh0cking twist, Ezias admitted to assaulting his brother, claiming that he had slǝpt with his wife while he was away. He said he confronted his brother about the issue, but he refused to come to his house to discuss it.

“I beat him up because he slǝpt with my wife. When I asked him why he had done that, he told me that vaitamba chiramu and I beat him up,” he said.

Magistrate Sharon Mashavira granted Olia the peace order and advised Ezias to report his brother to the police for rapǝ instead of taking the law into his hands. The case has left the community in sh0ck, with many calling for justice to be served.
