A five-year-old girl was involved in the death of her playmate, also aged five, in Glenwood on Friday, according to police.
Harare police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza said the two minors were fighting over an unknown issue when one girl hit the boy, causing him to fall over.
The boy, identified as Jayden Mahachi, reportedly screamed once before a 14-year-old neighbour tried to administer first aid. However, Jayden was later pronounced dead upon arrival at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital.
Inspector Chakanza said police are investigating the incident, adding: “No visible injuries were noted and investigations are in progress.”
