CHITUNGWIZA – In a surprising turn of events, Chitungwiza-based Prophet Miracle Paul of the New Revelation Ministries has confessed his past struggles with collaboration and pledged a newfound commitment to unity within the ministry.

This revelation came at the album launch of gospel musician Bethen Pasinawako, where the Prophet not only celebrated Bethen’s musical achievements but also demonstrated his newfound spirit of generosity by donating US$10,000 towards the purchase of a Toyota Aqua vehicle.

The album launch, held on Saturday, served as a platform for Prophet Miracle Paul to express his gratitude for the opportunity to connect with various church leaders, a testament to his evolving perspective on the importance of strong relationships in ministry.

The gospel musician received significant financial support at her album launch in Chitungwiza Saturday. While fellow gospel artiste, Everton Mlalazi pledged US$15000 and Bishop Believe Paradise weighed in with US10250, Bethan also received US$10 000 cash from Prophet Miracle Paul towards the purchase of a Toyota Aqua. The album is called Trinity. Reverend Obadiah Musindo donated a residential stand plus US$1000.

“This event has taught me a lesson that working together with others is good and profitable,” said Prophet Miracle. “If it was not that good working relationship, this event could not be like this.”

He further elaborated on his transformation, acknowledging his past isolation and expressing his desire to emulate the collaborative spirit he witnessed at the event. “Ndadzidza kuti panezvinouya muhupenyu, ngatidzidzei kuita konde konde pachikorekore, kubatsirana nevamwe kuti zviyendeke (I have learnt that in life, we should learn to work together, helping each other so that things can move forward).”

Prophet Miracle continued, “It has accorded me a chance to meet various church leaders I cannot mention by names; in case I might skip one. Baba naMai Ngolomi have good working relationships with others, which I have witnessed today, and I want to do the same. Ini ndirimumwe angaasingagare nevamwe zvakanaka asi nhasi mandidzidzisa kuti ukagarazvakanaka nevamwe zvinobatsira (I am one who did not used to relate well with others, but today you have taught me that it is beneficial to have good relationships with others).”

Adding a touch of humour to the occasion, Prophet Miracle Paul playfully threatened to “expose” some of the guests, including the Ngolomi couple, before revealing his generous gift.

“Regai nditsemure Bethen ne ten thousand United States dollars, which I want them to buy an Aqua vehicle within four days,” he declared, leaving the audience in stitches.

The donation, reminiscent of Wicknell Chivayo’s recent acts of philanthropy, including the distribution of over 100 vehicles to musicians, celebrities, and members of his Johanne Masowe Apostolic sect, marks a significant shift for Prophet Miracle Paul.

Bishop Paradise Pledges More

Inspired by Prophet Miracle Paul’s generosity, Bishop Believe Paradise felt challenged to contribute even further.

“I am here because of Prophet Miracle Paul has said about good working relationship with others,” said Bishop Paradise. “I knew the Ngolomi couple before I started a church Ministry, they used to assist me with PA system. When God raised me, I saw it best to assist them also. I wanted them to join my Ministry, but I later learnt that they had decided to look for their church of choice. Ndakangoti regandigowona kwazvinosvika asi nhasi ndatenda zvaitwa naProphet Miracle Paul (I just said let me see how far it goes, but today I am grateful for what Prophet Miracle Paul has done).”

He added, “I felt envy and challenged so I am pledging more than what Prophet Miracle Paul has given,” before pledging US$10,250.

Support from Other Leaders

Rev Musindo, described as Bethen’s mentor and promoter, commended the various church denominations for their support of the gospel musician. He highlighted the importance of supporting local talent, noting that many gospel artists struggle to receive the recognition and assistance they deserve.

“We have a number of gospel artists failing to get support,” said Rev Musindo. “Bethen is highly talented and has potential to become an international musician. We have many local talented gospel musicians that if we fully support them, sooner or later we will forget about promoting foreign artists and treat them like gods.”

Rev Musindo also praised Everton Mlalazi for his unwavering support of fellow artists, stating, “I want to emulate Everton Mlalazi, I informed him today about this event, he shelved his plans, led his wife here and supported Bethen. We want more Zimbabweans like Everton, Prophet Miracle Paul, Bishop Paradise and many others who came to support.” He then presented Bethen with US$1,000 in cash and promised her a residential stand.

Everton Mlalazi, in turn, pledged US$15,000 and offered Bethen free recording time at his studio, expressing his passion for promoting fellow artists.

“As a musician, I feel blessed to plant my seed on this fertile ground as a Seventh Day Adventist member,” said Everton. “It is my wish to support fellow artists.”

Dreammate Projects, represented by Promise Mubaiwa, further contributed to Bethen’s success by pledging another residential stand worth US$39,000.

Bethen’s Gratitude

The Ndinzverei hit-maker, Bethen, overwhelmed by the outpouring of support, expressed her gratitude and humility.

“I feel humbled by this, God has a message to me,” said Bethen. “This seventh album has proved to be perfect, and it attracted a number of church leaders and upon their arrival they pronounced a blessing and made some declarations. The guests increased in numbers within a short period and the gifts, hey I have no enough words to thank God.”

She added, “I want to thank everyone who supported me in this project – various church leaders, artists and local businesspeople for standing with me.”

Her husband and producer, Lyton Ngolomi, echoed her sentiments, giving all the glory to God.

“I have come to understand that God answer prayers in due season,” said Ngolomi. “Today I came to understand that God does what He wants at the fulness of time. We have experienced the hand of God today by the attendance, gifts and what church leaders have done through God’s grace. Glory be to the Almighty God who is faithful and loving.”

The album launch, which featured performances by Mathias Mhere, Agatha Murudzwa, Mai Patai, Rumbi Zvirikuzhe, Gift Mahlupeka, and other gospel artists, showcased the power of unity and collaboration within the gospel music community.

Chivayo’s Influence

The recent acts of generosity by Prophet Miracle Paul and others draw parallels to the philanthropic endeavours of Wicknell Chivayo, a Zimbabwean businessman and socialite known for his controversial rise to wealth and his penchant for gifting vehicles and other lavish items. Chivayo’s donations, while often met with scrutiny due to his involvement in high-profile corruption scandals, have nonetheless set a precedent for supporting local artists and religious figures.

Chivayo has donated over 100 vehicles in recent times to several musicians and celebrities. This includes 50 Toyota Aqua vehicles to his Johanne Masowe Apostolic sect and 20 more Aquas to the Scottland football club. Additionally, he gifted six brand-new 2025 Volkswagen Polo GTI vehicles to his security team in South Africa. His most recent donations are two vehicles to prominent Bulawayo-based pastor Ian Ndlovu and his wife Angel Ndlovu who received brand new Toyota Landcruiser and Toyota Fortuner, both 2025 editions.
