A man in distress has survived a jump from the top of Tanganyika Building at the corner of 3rd Street and Kwame Nkrumah Avenue in Harare while attempting to commit suicide.
The man’s fall was broken by the roofing of a small building structure below which absorbed the impact. Firefighters rescued the man who was taken to hospital badly hurt but alive.
The unnamed man attempted suicide by jumping from this building after a man who had been negotiating with him attempted to grab him. The man was rushed to hospital after surviving fall.
