The body parts of a woman were discovered in Germiston, Ekurhuleni, scattered in different locations. A recycler alerted police to the first bag containing two legs with no bloodstains. Later, more body parts were found at different locations, including a thigh, upper body, stomach, hands, and head.
Police suspect that the body was cut up somewhere and dumped at the various places. Officers traced a suspect to his flat in Germiston with the help of the victim’s family. The suspect claimed to have been with the deceased at a bar on Saturday night and woke up to find her missing.
He was arrested and charged with murder, and the investigation is ongoing. Police have appealed to anyone with information to contact them.
