A man from Harare is currently evading the authorities after allegedly murdering another man over a dispute regarding a plate of sadza. The incident occurred on Friday at a car park in Warren Park D, Harare, where Brighton Nyamukapira is said to have fatally stabbed Edward Goto (38). Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi has issued an appeal for information leading to the arrest of Nyamukapira.
According to Assistant Commissioner Nyathi, the suspect confronted the victim, accusing him of stealing his sadza. Subsequently, Nyamukapira allegedly attacked Goto, inflicting a single stab wound to the neck using a sharp object. The incident took place on April 12, 2024.
In a separate matter, Assistant Commissioner Nyathi has also called for assistance in identifying an individual whose decomposing body was discovered in Kuwadzana 5 Paddocks on Friday. The deceased has been transferred to the mortuary at Sally Mugabe Hospital. The police have urged anyone with information or missing a relative to report to Kuwadzana Police Station.
Furthermore, the police are seeking information to help identify a man believed to be between 50 and 55 years old, who was found deceased along a dusty road in Mutumbi Village, Seke, Dema, on December 10 of the previous year. The man was attired in maroon trousers and a cream jacket, and he was found without shoes. His body is currently being held at Chitungwiza Hospital mortuary.
