Deadly crash in Mabvuku leaves 5 dead as lorry collides with commuter buses
A tragic road accident in the Chizhanje area of Mabvuku has claimed the lives of 5 people, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has reported.
The accident occurred around 5:00 PM yesterday along Donnybrook Road, when a lorry was involved in a head-on collision with a commuter omnibus. The impact of the initial crash then caused another commuter bus to ram into the back of the first kombi.
According to the ZRP, the 5 casualties were killed on the spot as a result of the multi-vehicle pileup.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be officially released, as authorities work to notify the next of kin.
