Latest on Bigman who was arrested after se_xually abusing a dead woman

AN Epworth man, who made headlines after se_xually abusing a corpse, was on Thursday in court charged for violating the corpse.

The suspect, Bigie Bigman Sipiliano, was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Barbra Mateko, who released him on $5000 bail.

He was ordered not to interfere with State witnesses and to reside at his given address pending finalisation of the matter that has been set down for trial commencing February 8.

Sipiliano is facing another charge of indecent assault against the informant Phillipa Mazhindu, the now deceased Melissa Mazhindu’s mother.

Allegations are that on January 2 at around 1:30am, Mazhindu and other neighbours were mourning her late daughter when Sipiliano came in the room they were in and he said he wished he had slept with her when she was still alive but it wasn’t going end that way. (Musikana uyu ndakabvira kare ndichimuda dai ndakatorara naye hake achiri mupenyu manje hazvipere zvakadaro).

Sipiliano reportedly then went on to uncover the corpse that wasn’t in a coffin and was covered by a white cloth and said the now deceased was still beautiful and then went on top of the corpse and started making some ‘c0itus’ movements with all his clothes on.

One of the mourners tried to stop him but he threatened her; then he got up and indecently assaulted the informant by grabbing her from behind making ‘c0itus’ movements on her butt0cks and she called for help and was rescued by neighbours.

Lloyd Tarenyika appeared for the State.
