Two men have been sentenced to hang for the horrific kidnapping and murder of a 7-year-old boy in a case that has sh0cked Zimbabwe.

High Court Judge Justice Mutevedzi condemned Tapiwa Makore Snr and Tafadzwa Shamba’s “animal-like behaviour” as he handed down the death penalty, saying the killing was “premeditated.”

The court heard how the sadistic killers lured little Tapiwa Makore Jnr into their trap before forcing him to drink an illicit brew, rendering him helpless.

In chilling remarks, Justice Mutevedzi said the accused had “poisoned the victim into a comatose” state before carrying out the grisly murder.

The judge pulled no punches in his condemnation of the horrific crime, saying the killers showed “no morality” in murdering the defenceless boy.

The gruesome killing of Tapiwa in 2020 sh0cked the nation and highlighted the rise in ritual murders in Zimbabwe.

His mutilated body was found without head and organs, believed to have been harvested for ritual purposes.

The death sentences handed down by the court were welcomed by many as justice finally being served, and the two soulless monsters who perpetrated this heinous crime against an innocent child now face the hangman’s noose for their sickening actions.
