Walking on a railway line while listening to music on earphones nearly cost a Bulawayo man his life after he was hit a train.
The 25-year-old man suffered multiple injuries.
This is according to a post on X (formerly Twitter) by the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ).
“A 25-year-old man was seriously injured after he was hit by a train while walking along the railway line at Mpopoma Transit Yard in Bulawayo on Sunday. The man was putting on earphones and did not hear the approaching train. He sustained a broken hand and head injuries,” the NRZ posted.
“The NRZ urges members of the public to exercise extreme caution on and around railway tracks.”
