Pomona development to offer luxury gated community lifestyle
Property firm WestProp Holdings Limited (WHL) is building Pomona City – a 273-hectare “city within a city” offering a premium secure lifestyle community.
The development combines modern tech, social areas and unique amenities to differentiate it from traditional suburbs, CEO Kenneth Sharpe says.
The entrance – equipped with an AI sales house, guard post, green energy chargers and surveillance cameras – is set to open this month.
Some lucky landowners have already begun construction, with “world-renowned” architects fusing different cultures in cosmopolitan design.
Residents will enjoy exclusive social amenities preserving privacy and value.
The developers aim to emulate Dubai’s infrastructure and designs for “quality and excellence”, with plans for shops, offices, recreational facilities and residential estates.
In phase two, WHL will introduce a leasehold model making property affordable by removing the high land cost.
Buyers only pay for buildings, and then rent the land for as little as US$50-200 monthly in perpetuity. The land rights remain with WHL.
The Pomona project forms part of WHL’s vision for a US$1-5 billion Zimbabwe real estate portfolio.
