Shots fired as armed robbers pounce on Mukuru outlet and get away with US$10 000

In a morning heist at koNhliziyo Shopping Centre in Entumbane, two armed robbers targeted a Mukuru outlet and allegedly made off with a safe box containing US$10,000. The incident unfolded at approximately 7 am, causing panic among the individuals present.

Eyewitnesses report that the robbers stormed Mlungu Dealers shop, brandishing firearms and firing a shot into the ground. They ordered everyone inside to lie down as they proceeded with their criminal activity. A resident, who preferred to remain anonymous, recounted seeing the robbers enter the store and swiftly exit with the stolen safe box. They escaped in a silver-coloured car, which notably lacked a licence plate.

A worker from Mlungu Dealers provided further details, stating that the armed robbers specifically targeted the Mukuru outlet, demanding money from the safe box. They discharged additional gunshots as a means of intimidation before fleeing the scene in a Silver Honda Fit vehicle.
