IN a shocking incident, a 14-year-old girl from Deli Village in Nyamandlovu, Matabeleland North province, bolted out of the room after waking up to allegedly find her father naked fondling her breasts and rubbing his manhood against her thighs while intending to rape her.
It was reported that on 5 April , the girl was sleeping in her room and woke up to a shocking discovery.
Her father, whose name is being withheld to protect the victim, was allegedly fondling her breasts and caressing her body while rubbing his manhood against her thighs.
The alleged victim pushed him away and bolted out of the room.
The girl, fearing her father who was only in his pair of boxer shorts, would rape her sought refuge at a neighbour’s house.
She frantically knocked on their door, and they opened it just as her father arrived in pursuit.
The man reportedly pleaded with his child to forgive him, claiming to be unaware of the evil spirit that had taken control of him.
The incident was reported to the police leading to his arrest.
He appeared before Bulawayo regional magistrate Collet Ncube facing attempted rape charge and was not asked to plead.
He was remanded in custody to 23 April. BMetro.
