HARARE – A family has been thrown into turmoil following the exposure of explicit images exchanged between a married woman and her married relative.
Mildred Mukomana, 32, is alleged to have been involved in an inappropriate relationship with her cousin, Phillibin Takwana Tsikirayi, 52. The relationship came to light after nude photographs and romantic messages between the pair were leaked, sparking a significant dispute within the family.
Mildred, who is currently residing in Botswana with her husband, has expressed her remorse and fear following the leak. She has also extended an apology to her aunt, Takwana’s mother, for her involvement in the affair.
“I want to apologise to the nation and our relatives for my immature actions,” said Mildred, acknowledging the gravity of her actions and the distress caused to her family.
She further revealed that she had contacted Eunice, Takwana’s sister and her aunt’s daughter, to express her regret over her behaviour.
Mildred claims that Takwana initiated the relationship by sending her romantic messages, which eventually led to the exchange of explicit photographs. “Takwana initiated this with his love messages, and I succumbed to the temptation,” she explained.
Adding to her anxiety, Mildred is uncertain whether her husband is aware of the situation. “My husband has said nothing yet over this, I am living in fear since he is not a man of many words,” she confessed, highlighting the strain the situation has placed on her marriage.
Takwana has confirmed the affair but has accused his wife of exacerbating the situation. He claims that after discovering the nude photographs, his wife took his mobile phone and sent further seductive messages to Mildred, pretending to be him.
“There is an issue, but my wife is the one spreading this to relatives after she took my cellphone,” Takwana stated. “She exchanged some more love messages with Mildred pretending to be me. As we speak, she is the one with my mobile phone and is angry about this.” Takwana declined to answer any further questions regarding the matter.
The leaked messages between Mildred and Takwana reveal that Mildred had requested transport money to travel from Botswana, promising to satisfy Takwana’s sexual desires.
The scandal has exposed deep rifts within the family, with accusations and counter-accusations flying between the involved parties. The exposure of the affair and the subsequent leak of explicit images have caused significant embarrassment and distress.
