Man arrested for illegal possession of live pangolin found in vehicle

In a recent incident, law enforcement authorities apprehended a man for the unlawful possession of a live pangolin. The protected animal was discovered concealed in a black satchel, strategically placed on the passenger seat of a grey Nissan Tilda vehicle. The arrest took place on Saturday at the 40km mark along the Harare-Mukumbura road.

According to an official statement shared on social media by the police, Douglas Chikandiwa, aged 35, was taken into custody during a routine security checkpoint search.
