A 23-year old man from Mutoko has been charged with bestiɑlity after allegedly abusing a cow twice. George Muwirimi appeared before Mutoko Magistrate Elijah Sibanda and is set to return to court on July 24.
The state has recommended that he be examined by two psychiatrists before standing trial. According to court papers, Muwirimi was first caught by Emma Chinjekupe on July 5 at 6am, abusing one of her cows. He then fled the scene.
On July 9, Chinjekupe’s brother Bornface caught Muwirimi abusing the same cow at 5am. The accused tried to run away but was caught and taken to the police.
Used cond0ms were also found in the kraal. Chipo Munemero represented the state in court.
